Comments: Malu means "peacefullness" in Hawaiian.

In February 2007, Dylan Matheson was "treated" to a rare event put on by Malu. Dylan was able to capture these images of Malu "everting her spiral valve" (intestine). It is a known but rarely documented event that is thought to be done for cleaning purposes. It has been documented in some shark species as well as some turtle species.
