Comments: In honor of President Obama’s expansion of the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument in the Hawaiian Archipelago, I would like to name the Manta Ray “Michelle Obama”. "Michelle Obama” was photographed off of Wailea Point, Maui on January 7, 2017. She is approximately 4 feet wide and 3 feet long and was swimming alone at the time in about 20 feet of water.
