Kapono Ray is a male about 8’ across. He was first identified at Ho’ona Bay on May 4, 2001. He fed with a group of 7 females. He is named after Kona Manta Ray Night Dive dive guide and manta enthusiast Mark Kapono who contributes sighting information for our manta research.
