On June 20th Kerry Key and some friends were diving north of Eel cove and south of Crescent Beach when we were visited by this massive beauty. We think he was at least 22 feet – his remora were about 4 feet long. He hung out with us for several minutes, making repeat passes and clearly interested in us strange diver-creatures. It was an amazing encounter. Named for Kerry's late brother Gary, who like this incredible creature, always seemed bigger than life.
