On May 8th 8:30am, I had the privilege to free swim with a small female manta. I captain Liquid Hawaii's vessel. While operating a morning charter out of Puako, we came across a female manta just south of Hapuna point. She's about 3 1/2ft in wing span. Very friendly and very curious of our boat. She was feeding on the surface in about 60ft of water. I'd like to name her Jolene Ray, after my first child.
