I would like to name the manta “Ray of Hope”. As a dive community, we have all worked very hard to protect our mantas and try to teach others about these wonderful creatures. I feel very blessed every day to have the wonderful encounters I get underwater, and every time I see a manta I feel that there is hope in what we all strive for in doing the right thing. We saw this manta around 11:30 am on 4/30/15 in the bay north of Kealakekua Bay, we were on our safety stop as it cruised by. It was about 18-22 foot wing span, I couldn't believe my eyes, it was so big. I would like to give a very special thank you to Mark Siemens for helping make this all possible.
